How does the 38 hour 17 & Younger Class Work?
Step 1: Register for Driver's Education Classes at NOLA Driving Institute. The cost of the class is $550 for the class and the driving portion.

Step 2: Go to the DMV and get a Temporary Instruction Permit (parent must accompany minor)..
YOU MUST HAVE A TEMOPORARY INSTRUCTION PERMIT TO ATTEND CLASS.

Step 3: You will attend a 30 hour class. The class will be held over 4 days. At the conclusion of class you will be given the knowledge test.
Step 4: We will schedule 8 hours of driving. The 8 Hours will be divided into 2 four hour sessions.
Step 5: Once the course is completed You will be given documentation to receive your learner's permit.
Step 6: If you would like to receive a driver's license, you will schedule a road skills test. Road Skills Tests can be scheduled on our website at noladrivinginstitute.com/roadskills.

If 17 can advance to a license from a temporary instruction permit or must be 16 years old and have had a learners permit for at least 180 days.

A parent or guardian must accompany anyone 17 years of age or younger.
Step 7: Once you have passed the road skills test you can can go down the hall to ABC Title to get your license.
